Now that the Summer is waning and Maison et Objet is over I'll call the new season started. The dealers in the Paris Flea Market are back from holiday, very often with newly stocked shops. The renovation of the Serpette building finished ahead of schedule so everyone is ready to go. The wait is over and we have a flood of new products to list. We'll be pulling all-nighters getting them listed but here are a few highlights.

Marianne Netter and Catherine Derry of Les 2 Font la Paire certainly live up to their moniker. We met Marianne at her shop in the Paris Flea Market, Saint-Ouen where she shows the product of their collaboration.
They like the contrast of old and new, Scandinavian vintage painted furniture and modern objects. The blend works as a design statement just as the partnership has worked between Catherine who lives in Provence and Marianne who lives in Paris. Marianne's beautiful home has even been featured in Objekt Magazine (a Dutch Design magazine).
This is a gaming table is from the Napoleon III period. The drink extensions all pop out all at once on a mechanism to keep the refreshments from getting in the way of some serious card playing.
They bought this dresser as a diamond in the rough. It was painted over in flowers but when they began restoring it they found the original trompe l'oeil wood grain finish.
